waiting for my wild orange tea to cool off....and I found this..

Men kick friendship around like a football, but it doesn't seem to crack. Women treat it like glass and it goes to pieces.
by Anne Morrow Lindbergh

Do not keep on with a mockery of friendship after the substance is gone - but part, while you can part friends. Bury the carcass of friendship: it is not worth embalming. by William Hazlitt

Without wearing any mask we are conscious of, we have a special face for each friend. by Oliver Wendell Holmes

A friend is one who knows you and loves you just the same.
by Elbert Hubbard

The friend is the man who knows all about you, and still likes you.
by Elbert Hubbard

The real test of friendship is: can you literally do nothing with the other person? Can you enjoy those moments of life that are utterly simple?
by Eugene Kennedy

You can always tell a real friend: when you've made a fool of yourself he doesn't feel you've done a permanent job.

things to ponder part... I just love this I got this from someone and I just can't stop reading it...a very Positive reminder!!!

1. The best way to get even is to forget...
2. Feed your faith and your doubts will starve to death...
3. God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts...
4. Some folks wear their halos much too tight...
5. Some marriages are made in heaven, but they ALL have to be maintained on earth....
6. Unless you can create the WHOLE universe in 5 days, then perhaps giving "advice" to God, isn't such a good idea!
7. Sorrow looks back, worry looks around, and faith looks up...
8. Standing in the middle of the road is dangerous. You will get knocked down by the traffic from both ways.
9. Words are windows to the heart.
10. A skeptic is a person who when he sees the handwriting on the wall, claims it's a forgery.
11. It isn't difficult to make a mountain out of a molehill, just add a little dirt.
12. A successful marriage isn't finding the right person; it's being the right person.
13. The mighty oak tree was once a little nut that held its ground.
14. Too many people offer God prayers with claw marks all over them.
15. The tongue must be heavy, indeed, because so few people can hold it.
16. To forgive is to set the prisoner free and then discover the prisoner was you.
17. You have to wonder about humans, they think God is dead and Elvis is alive!
18. It's all right to sit on your pity pot every now and again. Just be sure to flush when you are done.
19. You'll notice that a turtle only makes progress when it sticks out its neck...
20. If the grass is greener on the other side of the fence, you can bet the water bill is higher.

good looks, happy thoughts and good company.....hopefully good Karma too!!!

and my new mantra in facing my rainy days...

If the grass is greener on the other side of the fence, you can bet the water bill is higher.

OK, 2nd day was OK. Me and potsie did not have a meal together but was able to watch what we ate. It was just a bit tempting to cheat since we just had our Xmas party on our shift and there was a lot of food. Well that's the update. Still trying to figure out how I got that worm up there ^ ! Till next time!

sweetened and unsweetened iced tea!!!

Ok this got us thinking, are we going to be honest about it or make excuses and go on with our daily lives. But we finally decided to do the right thing. We planned/agreed to change our lifestyles and we started curbing our appetite today. This may not seem important but it is to our health (we have hit rock bottom of 200lbs or more). So let me share to you what we had today. First, Potsie had breakfast consisting of rice and modified Tinola (instead of sayote I only have cabbage). At lunch which was really my breakfast, we had again rice, modified Tinola and apple wedges (apples courtesy of Sheraton Hotel of N.Myrtle beach,SC) with peanut butter for dessert and for beverages we had half a cup of coffee, 6 ounces of freshly squeezed OJ and 12 ounces of water. In between snacks we have 2 apple wedges with peanut butter again. After doing all our major errands in the afternoon (doctors check ups and cel phone updates) we went to Macaroni Grill. At this point we had given up on our so-called curbing our appetite. We are succumbing to our old ways. We went in and browsed the menu. But at the end I think we still did pretty well. We ordered the calamari for starters I had the salad Potsie had the soup with unsweetened iced tea for me and sweetened for Potsie. We ordered our main course of Salmon with teriyaki glaze for me and Potsie ordered the Lobster lasagna and let me tell you. We ended up having it wrapped to go since we were already full! So yes, we did not over indulge but just satisfied our restaurant cravings. And now we have food for 2 meals to look forward to. Again my warmest thanks to Cha and Lhey the source of our strength in this endeavor.

No frills Tea!!!

Ahhhh how long has it been??? Ok I think I can spare a moment and have some teatime with this page. Life has been pretty hectic but no complains it was all-good. Last Friday we trekked to NC and it was very good weekend, it was a no frills weekend. We ate, we slept and watched old movies while Cha and Anne grab some free money (I wonder if it was relaxing for them as it was relaxing for Lhey and me. I have never seen Home Alone 2 and it was a Beautiful Disaster just like what Kelly Clarkson have stated. Our faces were achy by the time we finished the movie! (It was cute and funny.) from Tanger 501 outlet mall. Foods were all good from snacks, breakfast lunch and dinner! And now we are back in our tiny hole in Pa and we brought back an inspiration! After seeing Lhey how AWESOME she looks. Yes Anne and me were dying of envy thank God we survived her company! We started our meal today with Lhey in mind. We had a nice serving of rice Tinola with cabbage, that`s the only gulay I got in the fridge, coffee, orange juice and water and apple with peanut butter for dessert. I think we did well for our 1st meal! Hopefully the WORM will move soon. Keep us in your prayers! If I don't get to sit down have tea with you have a Very Merry Christmas and a Blessed Year ahead of you!
